Religion, Culture and Morality.

Burning of the Kamasutra by alleged Bajrang Dal members. This happens when a section of people fail to distinguish between religion & culture. Hinduism is one of the most ancient religions which among other things celebrated the sexuality of humans. Hindutva ideology is born out of the concept of Culture and Morality in colonial and post-colonial India, focusing on the domination of these cultural and moral practices that evolved mostly out of imperial oppression and the need to be more like the imperial oppressors. What we have now at the hands of these these "Hindutva" organizations is a annihilation of the Hindu religion at the altar of Hindutva Culture.
They have burnt the Kamasutra calling it an abomination to their revered gods and goddesses. Next they will possibly object to Mahabharata cause, Polyandry!
After that I suppose they will call for a "progrom" to demolish Hindu temples depicting erotic sculptures such as The Sun Temple, Modhera(Gujarat), Khajuraho Temples, MP, Bhoramdeo Temple, Chattisgarh and the ever famous Ajanta-Ellora Caves to name a few.The four puruṣārthas (goals of life) are Dharma (righteousness, moral values); Artha (prosperity, economic values); Kama (pleasure, love, sex, psychological values); and Moksha (liberation, spiritual values) Soon they will also deny that Kaam Dev existed denying the veds and purans!!! They might even start destroying all shiva-lingams cause "ling pradarshan". As Indians this is our heritage and these extremists are bent on destroying it. There is no end to this madness? Drunk on extremisim they cannot tell the difference between religion and culture. No religion can survive in its true meaningful form in the laps of extremism.
